Comparative advantages
The most ecological display system

A simple and pragmatic vision since 1992
Origins

- In response to an ecological and logistical challenge faced by its customers, AFIX was developed as the solution for the costly dispatch of frames in varying formats, which required substantial packaging
- The AFIX system was developed in Saint-Étienne, France, a city with a rich industrial heritage and a current reputation as the capital of French design
- Its inventor, Bernard Giraudet, is a highly accomplished innovator with numerous patents to his name. He has also won first place in several European invention competitions and fairs
A logical concept

- An AFIX frame is comprised of four tubes and four tensioning corners, which can be assembled by anyone, without any tools
- The traditional frame concept has been reimagined to be more environmentally friendly and cost-effective. This new design eliminates the backing and Plexiglas, allowing for double-sided display
- The ability to connect multiple panels at any angle and in any shape, in a click, is a key benefit of the AFIX system
- Accessorizing, modulating, transforming exhibits, or simply replacing a missing part, is an integral part of the AFIX experience
Ecological vision for the future
- The minimalist approach has resulted in the creation of simple products that can adapt to most situations
- The initial vision was based on two key principles:
- Presenting a light poster on a heavy support is disproportionate
- Plexiglass panels have a very negative environmental impact
- A simple, playful, and modular design allows users to explore and push back their creative limits
- A "made-to-order" production concept was naturally implemented, allowing customization of the displays at no additional cost
- AFIX supports are manufactured locally. The supply chain is minimal, economical and practical
Revolution in printed signage
- AFIX suggests a paradigm shift in display systems, just as IKEA™ revolutionized the furniture industry with its non-assembled flat-pack logistics model
- A conventional frame is composed of “surfaces” (glass or plexiglass, bottom, etc.) and an “outline”
- An AFIX frame has no surfaces, but only an “outline” • When the format of a conventional frame increases, its price rises exponentially
- When the format of an AFIX frame increases, its price rises only linearly
- In this new paradigm, savings in raw materials and packaging volume are exponential, and waste becomes non-existent
- An “on-demand” production model provides customers with an unlimited choice of formats ranging from 8x10“ to 60x72”
